a welcomed time of rest

Today, I am spending the day with my good friend, Evelyn, and her family. I got to their place late last night and slept on a BED. I must have slept ~12 hrs! It was great because I've been going off of ~6-7 hrs a night since my arrival which might have contributed to my being sick for the past week or so. Please pray for my health...my cough has gotten worse and is keeping me up at night a little.

Anyway, here at Evey's, I got to take a shower in a shower stall for the first time since being here. It felt nice~ and we're just about to order in some Korean style Chinese for lunch.. yummm!!

As for the kids and the home, english classes got started on monday and the kids have been responding well to the lessons. It's really basic English so it gives the kids a chance to shine :) After teaching in the morning/afternoons, I get to spend time with my kids. On Wednesday, I went to watch the Korean production of Billy Elliot. A company had donated some good tickets to the home and about 16 of us got to see it. At first, the kids were like , "awwww... do we have to go???" but I noticed that they were really getting into it during the show. Later when I asked how they liked it, all the kids said they were impressed and had a good time. Honestly, it really was quite a show~

On Thursday, I took 3 of the older kids out to the big mart where I was meeting my friend, Logan. They felt a little awkward being around a "foreigner" even though I kinda am too :) We had some ice cream and window shopped a little. It was a good time of chilling out~

I will be returning back to the home later this evening after dinner :) It's funny that everytime I get ready to go out at least 10 kids will ask "where you going?" I can't wait to see them~
