blessings from my girls

Yesterday was the last day all 8 of the Hannah Room (middle and high school girls) would be together. One of the girls left for a school retreat for 2 days early this morning. With only 3 days left, I had gone out in the afternoon to put together a present of basic neccessities for the girls-- face cleanser, candy, a clock (their's broke last week). But little did I know that they had something planned for me! Later that evening, I jokingly said, "It's our last day all together~ we should have a good bye party!" The girls responded by saying that they already had something planned~ and later I saw them bring back bags full of food :) After the not-so-surprise party, some of the girls gave me letters they wrote. It's not so much what they did, but the fact that they did all of this out of their own volition that struck my heart. The kids often have good intentions/ideas but never fully carry it out due to laziness or lack of motivation. But this time, they made an exception for me! I felt so blessed~ I have yet to read all of them and can't wait to get to them!
